AITA for not replacing my neighbor's package after my dog destroyed it?

A package was delivered to my house by mistake while I was at work. It was left on my front porch all day. When I got home, I found that my dog had somehow gotten outside through the dog door and had completely torn the package apart.

A little while later, my neighbor came over asking if I'd seen a package because the tracking said it had been delivered. That's when I realized it was theirs.

I apologized and showed them what happened. They said I should pay to replace everything because it happened on my property. I told them I felt bad, but the delivery company left it at the wrong house, and I don't think it's entirely my responsibility.

Now they're telling other neighbors that I'm refusing to take responsibility for my dog's behavior. A couple of people have even messaged me saying I should just pay for it to keep the peace.

I honestly don't know if I'm being unreasonable here. AITA?
