Need advice from O Level Seniors: How Should I Use My 1.5 Months Before O2

Other (editable)

Hi everyone,

I’m an O Level student, and I’d really appreciate some advice from seniors who have already been through this stage.

To be honest, I didn’t take Grade 9 as seriously as I should have, and I’m now trying to make up for it during my summer holidays.

My strongest subjects are English, Computer Science, Global Perspectives, and Physics (which improved a lot after I started taking it seriously and received proper guidance). However, I struggled in Chemistry, Mathematics, Pakistan Studies, and Islamiat. Geography, in particular, has been my weakest area in Pakistan Studies. In Mathematics, I found topics like Mensuration, Coordinate Geometry, Similarity, and Angle Properties difficult, while Chemistry has been my biggest challenge overall. I worked hard, but I often felt like I wasn't studying in the right way or using the right resources.

At the beginning of the holidays, I made this plan:

  • Revise all Grade 9 Mathematics and become confident in it.
  • Learn Chemistry properly from the basics.
  • Prepare O2 Pakistan Studies and Islamiat.
  • Revise the Grade 9 syllabus for my other subjects.
  • Practise past papers regularly.
  • Improve my English writing speed.
  • Get ahead by starting the Grade 10 Computer Science syllabus.
  • Complete my Global Perspectives Individual Report (IR).
  • Prepare for the Global Perspectives Group Project.

The problem isn't that I don't have goals—it's that I can't seem to manage everything consistently. I planned to study three subjects each day, but most days I spent so much time on one subject that I couldn't get to the others. Before I realised it, almost all of June had passed.

Now I have around 1.5 months left before school starts, and I'm feeling overwhelmed. For the first time in my school life, I genuinely feel stuck. I know I'm capable of doing well, and I'm fully committed to making a comeback, but I need a smarter approach instead of just studying harder.

I'd really appreciate advice from anyone who has been in a similar situation.

  • If you had only 1.5 months left, what would you prioritise?
  • Would you study multiple subjects every day or focus on one or two until they improve?
  • How would you manage revision, weak subjects, past papers, and school projects without burning out?
  • Is it realistic to complete around 80–90% of these goals before school starts?

Also, if possible, I'd really appreciate it if someone could share a realistic timetable that worked for them. I don't expect a perfect schedule, but seeing how someone who has already been through O Levels managed their day would really help me plan mine more effectively.

Any study schedule, productivity tips, or personal experiences would genuinely mean a lot. I'm ready to put in the effort—I just need some direction on how to use my remaining time effectively.

Thank you in advance!
