First post - advice appreciated!

Hello everyone, first post on this subreddit - I'm quite new to all of this, so I do apologize in advance if anything that I have said is considered wrong or offensive.

I've been fascinated by Egyptian history and deities for quite a period of time, and I was wondering how I could start working with any of the deities. I feel a connection to quite a few of them, and at this moment it's still hard for me to decide which few to start with - there's just too many of them to begin with!

For additional context (slightly unrelated, sorry!), I am really passionate about ecology, nature and wildlife (especially birds). I've had quite the tough year, mainly feeling insecure about who I am, like I couldn't do my best in my subject modules, even a bit depressed due to the constant rain and bad weather in my area and horrible relationships with (now ex-)friends. In fact, it was one of these ex-friends that introduced me to the idea of Kemetism in the first place after I had a discussion with them about my past experiences with religion.

After a bit of research, I currently do not wish to make an altar as I do move dormitories every year as a student studying abroad. I have also begun reading through the main threads, the wiki page and the Book of the Dead in attempt to strengthen my historical knowledge, but I still feel like I could do more. I would appreciate it if anyone would provide me with any advice before I fully begin my journey, and I do apologize once again for rambling!
