first pride and i’m terrified

wow, that rhymed.

anyway, today i’m going to my first ever pride parade with some friends (as a 17 year old teen).

thing is, i haven’t told my parents that’s the reason i’m going out — and i don’t think they suspect it…but what if they come across some social media post/news on the tv that today in my city there will be a pride parade? they’ll definitely know if they see anything like that.

i’m scared of their reaction. like, i know they’d start asking questions, and i don’t exactly have any excuses for it.

i’m panicking so any support is VERY appreciated right now. help.
