Layering Two Soft Sounds Over the Sound in Ear in Quiet Rooms
In a quiet office the sound in ear is the only thing I can hear, so I started layering to soften it.
This is purely about comfort, masking the sound in ear does not treat or cure anything and it is not medical advice, see an audiologist if it persists or is new. What works for me is a thin pitch matched noise color underneath plus a gentle layer like soft rain or a stream on top, set quiet, so the blend feels natural instead of like a machine. The second layer gives my ears something pleasant to follow so they drift off the ringing. Keeping both soft and continuous is what stops the silence from creeping back in.
Two soft layers, kept quiet and calm.
I use an app called Mindael because I can stack a noise color with a nature sound and set each layer's volume independently until the mask is comfortable. Mindael loops both seamlessly so neither layer drops out and lets the sound return.

In quiet rooms, a soft layered mask can help you notice it less, Mindael is what I lean on, and again not medical advice. What do you use in silent spaces?
