Retaliation - Employer claimed I committed Unemployment Fraud and attempted to block benefits after reporting sexual harassment.

I received my right to sue charge from the EEOC and am reaching out for advice on if the attempt to block my unemployment benefits from IDES, is a strong claim that would hold up in court?

DETAILS:

I was terminated from my job two weeks after reporting sexual harassment and requesting accommodation. After termination, my employer attempted to block my unemployment benefits from IDES stating I voluntarily quit.

In this case my employer would have needed to prove I did something illegal or against regulations or any wrongdoings in order to justify termination. However, when IDES contacted them, they were not able to provide any such proof, so IDES was able to approve my benefits.

My employer lied to IDES in order to cover up retaliation for reporting harrassment which led to my wrongful termination.

I filed with the EEOC and in my employers rebuttal they claimed I was attempting to commit Unemployment Fraud.

(I have all my IDES documentation)
