As of late, we have finally started getting a clearer picture of what the Sacred and Divine ranks actually entail conceptually.

From what we can gather, a Sacred being functions as the Spirits of a realm — meaning they become the literal embodiment of their source element.

\* Sunny will become the Spirit of Shadows.

\* Neph will become the Spirit of Longing.

\* Modret will become the Spirit of Nothing.

Moving up, a Divine being grows to a point where their very existence encompasses all of reality itself.

\* Sunny will embody Death.

\* Neph will embody Longing.

\* Modret will likely embody absolute Nothingness.

The Eternal Loop of the Lovers:

When you look at Sunny and Nephis through this lens, their relationship becomes a massive, self-sustaining metaphysical cycle. Every single living being feeds Longing just by existing and desiring. In turn, every living being that eventually dies feeds Death. It creates a perfect, cosmic loop for our two main characters.

As for Modret:

While Sunny and Nephis form this beautiful, terrifying cycle of life and death, I honestly don’t know where Modret fits into the equation. Perhaps he'll become the living seal of the void, scratch that, I believe he'll be the seal.

Why this fixes a major doubt of mine:

I previously posted in this sub questioning why some aspect abilities of the divine trio felt a bit "meek" compared to broken abilities like Asterion’s idea-based immortality or Cassie’s memory manifestations.

But looking at it this way, the future divine trio completely lives up to the hype. Their true power isn't just about flashy combat skills; it's about absolute conceptual immortality.

Think about it: How do you destroy Death, Nothing, or Longing?

Every single living being is driven by the flame of desire (Longing). Everything eventually ends (Death). And what is sealing the void after everything is done? (Nothing).

It is honestly a fittingly dark and poetic lineup for our future gods.
