Poll: Before ME/CFS, did you get heavy-eyelid sleepy when tired, but now you don’t?

Sleep Issues

Before getting ME/CFS, I used to experience normal sleepiness — heavy eyelids, nodding off on the couch, etc.

Since becoming unwell, I'm “wired and tired (exhausted) ” with a thousand-yard stare sometimes, but I don't get sleepy, my eyelids don’t get heavy anymore and I don't "nod off" on the couch, for example.

Do you experience this? From what I've seen on this subreddit, some can sleep all day where others can't nap and are wired and exhausted.

If you stopped getting sleepy since getting CFS, is there any medication or anything else that has shifted things? E.g improved gut microbiome, therefore more GABA being naturally produced? Or medication that modulates glutamate and or GABA perhaps? Or even tweaking dopamine levels and reducing neuro inflammation via LDA, which has shifted things somehow?
