should i play umamusume?

im really considering to download and try out this game because i love the anime and the community, but after reading a GREAT amount of people saying its very time consuming, stops being beginner friendly after a very short amount of time and the lack of instructions are concerning, basically unplayable if u dont read 50 guides online.

Is this entirely true? i dont really care about it lacks instructions since im the type of person who loves minmaxxing games so id find guides anyways but is it really that time consuming? How much hours would u put into it daily, and is it beginner friendly?
