Macbook vs Thinkpad as a Finance Major

Ill be using a lot of excell , powerpoint etc (heavy workloads since i perform a lot of simulations which takes up a lot of ram). Im confused between choosing a Thinkpad T14 Gen 6 32 gb ram Intel Core Ultra 7, 1tb ssd and macbook pro m5 32gb ram 1 tb ssd. Both are costing about the same for me even after apple increased the prices for its macbook. If you have a better thinkpad/windows alternative id love to know!
