Time to choose : Books or Films

If an all-powerful being suddenly appeared in your room and forced you to choose between The Lord of the Rings books or the films, erasing the other from existence and memory, which would you keep ?

I know, I know… this is an age-old debate. But I still enjoy seeing it resurface from time to time just to read new takes on it, which are often really interesting. It’s also a nice way to connect with other fans of this incredible saga.
