How to learn to play different tempos with both hands?

How long did it take you to learn this? I've been playing the piano for a long time, but I still haven't mastered it. All the videos I've seen on this topic say "one day you'll be able to do it". This doesn't help me at all( I've been learning one song for about a week. I play fine separately, but when I connect them, nothing works
