There are so many fouls in this World Cup going unpunished.

From the start of most games players are clattering into players, obvious fouls disrupting the flow of the game. The referee gives a foul but no yellow card, especially in the first half.

This lets players do it again and again. Clattering into players stopping the attack and just getting off with a free kick. Am I the only one seeing this?

These cynical fouls deserve a straight up yellow card to stop it in its tracks. But no, the ref just gives a free kick which stops the flow once again.

These fouls are blatant and the players have now sensed they will not get punished. It stops the flow of the game and goal scoring opportunities.

Maybe I am missing something? Has the game changed so much?
