Why is it asking me to verify with ID when my email account linked to my account already is verified as 18+?

Basically as the title says.

Whats even the point? My email address that’s linked to my account is confirmed to be 18+

So why does Reddit need my ID verification?? Shouldn’t they be able to see that my email is 18+

Whats even the point of having a verified 18+ email then? Can they fix this because I genuinely see no reason to give them my ID if my email is already verified.
