Odd magma ball in Super Ball mode

Apparently, when I was playing Gene in Super Ball, I stumbled upon an odd ball that looks like it's burning hot magma. I thought it was a re-skin or just a cool new feature on the mode, but when I played again, it was gone. The ball apparently burns the brawler it's touching, and unfortunately, I had Gene on a low trophy, so I don't have a screenshot nor a replay. I just want to know if it's like an Easter egg or something, because I don't see it anywhere else in the internet. Please tell what kind of ball was that.
