Went through 3-4 pairs of Sennheiser IE 600s, confused about what else to buy
Hey there!
Short history about my IEMs is mostly just the IE 600. I had 3 driver failures and the other pair broke because of me. I am beyond tired of these breaking constantly in just a span of a year. I love how they sound, especially the sub-bass and speed of it all and I also don't really mind the treble peak as I am already used to it. I really love the single DD driver punchiness, but I'm not stuck up for it if that's the deiciding factor. My only other pair is a Meze 109 Pro but that's a different discussion. I also heard my girlfriend's Meze Alba, but I wasn't very impressed with the detail, even though it sounded similar to the sennies.
I've been looking online for more than a week now and it just gets more and more confusing each time I try. I know we're all subjective here, and that's reasonable, but I am super confused.
Many people recommended the Softears Volume S and the Xenns Top Pro but I'm not really sure whether they would sound familiar because the sub-bass isn't as pronounced from what I read. What makes this even more difficult is I have no (known) way of trying out IEMs here physicially in the Netherlands. I do wish I could go to Crinacle's hangout, but I'm not able to financially just for trying them out. I am also unsure about a pricing category, but I'd say anything up to 500-700 if it's actually justified. And then comes in comfort which is also difficult for me, as I've never tried anything bigger than the IE 600s. I think I have average sized ears, but not sure if something big would fit comfortably. Usually wear medium ear tips, like the Final Audio Type E and Divinus Velvet.
It would make my day if you guys could nudge me in a direction. I am utterly lost and confused haha
