People need to stop crying and throwing tantrums over animals having better lives compared to them.
A lot of people need to realize that animals are living beings, not property to be treated like trash. I recently posted a video making homemade meals for my pets. While I do buy them standard store pet food, I love spoiling them with fresh meals, and I enjoy sharing that journey online.
Predictably, miserable people rushed to the comments to project their own issues. One woman complained that she can't feed her family while I'm "wasting a week's worth of groceries" on animals, calling it insensitive that my pets have insurance policies.
Honestly? That is not my problem. It is not my fault you can't feed your family or secure insurance—that falls on your shoulders as a parent. Expecting me to downgrade my pets' lives because you are struggling is ridiculous.
My Pets, My Priority
When I adopt an animal, I am bringing a living being into my home. I am committing to raising them, protecting them, and giving them the best life possible.
So yes, my animals are spoiled. They are taken care of better than some people take care of their own kids, and I refuse to feel guilty because someone is jealous of a dog, cat, or bunny. My pets are my life.
If it came down to a crisis, I would choose my animals over a stranger—whether that stranger is a child or an adult. You would save your baby; I will save mine.
Both are defenseless, living beings. You value your family, and I value mine. People can argue in my comments all they want, but unsolicited opinions mean absolutely nothing to me. Call me heartless if it makes you feel better, but at the end of the day, anyone choosing one life over another is making a harsh choice. I’m just choosing the lives I’m responsible for.
