I adore Undertale and Deltarune and have always been fairly in touch with the community, but never before have I been so exhausted with an already frequently-exhausting fandom than the endless "ROARING FRAUD!!! LUL!!" memes that people seemingly can't get enough of.

After ch.3&4 have been out for a year I was happy to see them mostly gone, but once again they've popped up because *gasp* STORIES CAN BE COMMUNICATED THROUGH CUTSCENES RATHER THAN SOLEY GAMEPLAY?

Like, I get they're probably the funniest thing ever if you're so irony-poisoned you're completely unable to take stories on their own terms, but unfortunately the entire internet is now flooded with dreadfully unfunny powerscaling lingo and an inability to realize that the entire exercise is the modern equivalent of the classic schoolground "um actually i have a laser that automatically wins the fight" but people make it their whole personality now

It'd be one thing if it was just an occasional joke, but as a writer it pains me to see this genuinely awesome antagonist and character get reduced to an unfunny joke and for people to start taking a purposefully reductive joke seriously.

But whatever!! Let's just ignore the buildup and presentation and surprise because this character was decided to be lame by people who only socialize through means of Discord server! We've decided Deltarune has no stakes because people wanted to offload their frustration at losing the fight for a few hours! Flood those youtube comment sections! I'm sure it'll be really funny this time!

I HATE "Roaring Fraud" Jokes
