Woke Up As A Girl Syndrome. WUAAGS. I don't think anyone ever really thinks about it until it happens to them. I certainly didn't. Of course, I was vaguely aware that it was a possibility. I'd heard of famous people who contracted it, and there was the ever-present third aunt of a cousin of my brother-in-law who'd probably gotten it back in the 80's. But it was never meant to be a personal problem. It was never supposed to happen to anyone I knew, let alone to me.

One in fifty thousand people, they told me. That's how many other people in the whole entire world shared this little 'blessing'. That's what they always called it, a 'blessing', like it hadn't upended everything. One little cold, and my life changed irrevocably. I was let go from my work, of course. I was in a coma for seventeen days, and adjusting to my new reality for quite a while after. It's understandable. My parents accepted me, and helped pay for my apartment until I got a new position, but that's not going to last forever. I need to go out in public again.

I don't want to. I know what's going to happen. People are going to look at me as though I was a strange and sloppy girl, on the worst case scenario. Even for the best, they'd know that I'd contracted the syndrome. I'm distracted out of my recent habit of browsing the Wikipedia page by a notification, a bright little 'ping' that usually heralds nosy relatives or people I used to think were friends. But it's just you. I sigh, and focus my attention on actually talking.

I was glad that I still had you. Out of everything in my life that changed, you were one of the things that I had no regrets about. Our relationship felt exactly the same as it used to be. I was a little different, maybe, but you did your best to ignore any flaws in my mask. I appreciated it. I appreciated you.

Everything could be okay, as long as you were here.

Hello, folks! I'm looking for someone to play the role of the friend in (as the the title suggests) WUAAGS Co-op. For clarity, this will involve picking options from the CYOA and writing one-to-three post replies for each selected change. At the moment, I'm thinking that we both write for the other player's choice, but I'm flexible if there's circumstances where it would work best otherwise. I believe this should be relatively short, from an RP perspective, with one-two posts per day on average.

I'm looking for someone to play one option from best friend, rival, roommate, or old friend.
