Indigenous culture at the Villers-Bretonneux memorial?

Visited last week in France (amazing by the way). Pretty disappointed to see that the very first exhibit n the gallery is aboriginal sculptures? Excuse me but wtf does any of that have to do with those poor lads who lost their lives in 1918? PC gone mad.
