Pain & Swelling 3 weeks after 5 fillings

question

So about three weeks ago I had 5 fillings done on the left side of my mouth on the top and bottom after experiencing pain and swelling for a couple of months beforehand (took a while for them to get me in to have them done). It was quite sore right after and my family doctor ended up giving me pain medication for three days to use after which greatly helped; I’ve still been experiencing some tenderness in my gums where they injected the local anesthetic but it was overall pretty manageable and I wasn’t too worried about it.

Then out of nowhere yesterday I started having swelling on the top and bottom where I almost positive they injected the local anesthetic (especially at the very back, which was the most tender right after the procedure). I’ve been using Colgate Prevident at my dentists recommendation, and i also have a prescription for Chlorhexidine Gluconate that I have been using a couple times a week (trying not to use it too frequently because my dentist said it could turn my teeth green lol).

Is it likely that I am experiencing some kind of infection or something in the areas where I was injected? I expected to be pain free three weeks out considering I was pretty much pain free at this point after having my four impacted wisdom teeth removed. Should I be making another pricey dentist appointment, or could I get away with just asking my family doctor for a prescription for antibiotics when I see him on Tuesday? I’m trying not to let myself get too anxious about it, and I was really hoping to avoid having to go to the dentist again so soon after spending over $2000 on dentist appointments just for these fillings, but now that it seems to be getting worse instead of better my anxiety is kind of going haywire.
