What mental-health products or tools have genuinely helped you - besides therapy? What mental-health tool do you actually use - not just own?

Resources

I’ve struggled with my mental health since childhood, mainly with OCD, ADHD, PTSD and anxiety, and over the years I’ve tried a lot of different things to make life feel a bit more manageable.

Obviously therapy, medication and having supportive people around you can be really important, but I’m curious about the smaller things people use alongside those.

Has any physical or digital product actually helped you with your mental health? Not necessarily something life-changing, but something you genuinely use or keep coming back to.

It could be an app, journal, workbook, book, card deck, sensory object, breathing tool, planner, guided audio, comfort item, wearable, or honestly anything else. It also doesn’t have to be something specifically sold as a “mental health product.”

I’d love to know what it was and why it worked for you.
Did it help during spirals or difficult moments?
Did it calm your body, help organise your thoughts, give you some structure, or just make you feel a little less alone?

I’m also curious about things that seemed promising but didn’t help at all. I’ve found that a lot of mental health tools sound good in theory, but when you’re actually overwhelmed, they can feel too complicated, generic, demanding or even slightly patronising.

So, what have you actually found useful? And how do you use it in real life?
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
