Need help with my cancer woman, did I f*** up?

Hey guys

I am a Virgo, who is madly in love with a cancer woman, I proposed to her sometime back, and she did not give me an answer. She started posting romantic statuses online but never messaged me directly.

I grew tired of waiting and it started hurting, so I messaged her that I take your silence as a rejection to my proposal, she still stayed quiet.

I told her that since we have known each other for so long, we should remain friends, just because it did not workout between us, it does not mean that we sever our friendship too.

There is even more silence now, she would not open my messages, if they are short, simply reads through the notifications and lets them be. At the same time, when I share my god kids journal notes, marking their growth milestones, she would open those hand written notes sent as pictures almost immediately, but not respond.

The other day I messaged her about my mother asking me about her and she immediately opened the message but dis not reply.

I am confused, and even though I said that I will be okay with a friendship, I am honestly not, and I miss her terribly, recently she shared a whats app status with the words "Be all on or be nothing at all" with background track, "look after you" by The Fray.

She posted this after weeks of silence, but still doesnt reapond to my direct messages.

I wish to tell her that I have not stopped loving and caring for her, but the waiting grew unbearable, and it started hurting.

I dont know if it is a good idea, her birthday is in 2 weeks, and I wish to send her a present that I bought for her in April.

I dont knkw how to bring her back to my life, if she wants to be in my life anymore, or should I just back off, and let things be.
