New to PC building, need help - gaming PC build advice,

Full Build Req

Hey everyone,

I'm looking to buy a new gaming PC and would appreciate some advice on which parts/configuration would suit me best.

My budget is flexible between €1000 and €2000, but ideally I'd like to stay closer to €1500 for the best balance between price and performance.

My main priority is gaming - I want a system that can handle modern games smoothly without lag or stuttering, ideally at high settings and a solid frame rate. I'm not too focused on extras like RGB lighting or looks, more on getting reliable performance for the money.

Someone recommended the following build to me, but I'm not sure if it's actually a good setup, since I've read that this CPU doesn't support DDR5 RAM:

- CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X3D

- GPU: RTX 3080 Ti or regular RTX 3080

- RAM: 32GB DDR5

- Motherboard: not specified

- Cooling: water/AIO cooling

- PSU: 750W (or a bit more expensive), Gold rated - or 850W Bronze/Platinum

Could someone tell me if this combination makes sense, and if not, what you'd suggest instead?

More generally, I'd also appreciate help with:

- A recommended CPU/GPU combination within this budget that offers good value

- Suggested RAM and storage configuration

Happy to give more details (preferred games, monitor/resolution, etc.) if that helps anyone give better suggestions.

Thanks in advance for the help!
