How do I progress in Blasphemous? I got the half scapular and now?

Hey everyone,

I’m playing Blasphemous for the first time and I’m kinda lost. I recently got the half scapular and I have no idea where I’m supposed to go next. My map is attached in the image.

I’ve been running around for a while but I can’t find any new path or area to continue. I feel like I’m missing something obvious.

Can someone point me in the right direction without too many spoilers? I’d really appreciate it.
