Anyone else a bit uneasy about the Supergirl collab, given the film's content?
I love Finch and I'm not trying to start drama, but I watched Supergirl after the in-app event ran and came away pretty uncomfortable with how it sits next to Finch's whole vibe.
Without going into heavy detail, a big chunk of the film's plot is genuinely dark, involving harm to children in ways that aren't really appropriate of the 12 rating, plus on-screen child death. None of that is reflected in the cute, gentle Supergirl event, obviously, but that's kind of the point: the marketing tie-in makes the film feel a lot more wholesome than it actually is, and Finch's brand is doing some of that work.
I get that IP collabs are good business and the team probably didn't dig into the plots before saying yes. I'm just curious if anyone else who's seen the film felt the same gap between wholesome Finch vibes and what's actually in this movie.
Anyone else watch Supergirl and feel similarly, or am I overthinking this?
