So, it's been around 2 weeks since I started playing Inazuma Eleven Cross and I have to say that I'm somewhat curious where the game is going to head now.

Bear in mind, 0 japanese knowledge and heavy usage of Google translate to progress in some game modes, so no comments on the story. I'm also sharing my current account status so you all can compare with yours.

Right now my progress slowed down to a crawl, the initial days were a rush as I tried to complete the resource ladder, plus story, plus the daily shoot/block event but more importantly the Connection Map.

I will give the game credit where it's due, you have Free Players that are freaking nukes for what they are. Jimon and Shadow are probably the best F2P options you got for scoring and Jimon is a free Legendary, Shadow requires you to have pulled multiple copies to make him higher tier to make him more viable however.

Then you have King, the GOAT. Look, I might be a King fan but never did I think they'd make him this good for a 2 Star.

Completely free, Fire Element where there 0 Earth FW right now, cheap and powerful hissatsus. The only con he has is that he completely overshadows every single free GK we currently have which is a shame cause none of them really get a chance to shine.

For Premium units, Gouenji(IJ) is just the absolute best so far with multiple copies. Bakuretsu Screw hits like those steel beams Kageyama uses and the only counter to this is basically Tobitaka or Kabeyama (IJ) with multiple copies.

Speaking of which, let's talk about Tobitaka. Freemium unit from the gacha, comes out of the gate with signature hissatsu that puts all DF and shoot blockers to shame in their base form. Kabeyama(IJ) only matches up to him if you got multiple copies of the unit, and he's a 3 star.

Other noteworthy units are :

Goujou

Kurimatsu (IJ)

Hijikata

Miyasaka

The Kidokawa Triplets

Also all free

The gameplay is kinda neat too, to be honest you can just leave things in auto but I've found myself being able to win matches I shouldn't have been able to by going on manual mode, which technically means that there is SOME strategy involved, though the worst matches are those where you have 2-4 shoot blockers that just constantly get in the way.

Shoot blockers make or break your team and facing a team that has them is actually a difficulty spike that can be either cheap or challenging depending on your mindset.

You also got the passives you can randomly generate for players which can help buff up certain players and moves.

What worries me right now is simply the limited pool of hissatsus plus the Tag Ladder Matches ( the one where you need to have specific players ). I have no idea how some of you all do it but the Raimon and last ladder seem impossible.

Either due to stat bloat or simply because we do not have any good players with good hissatsus for those game modes.

Like I shared before, there were matches where going into manual I was able to win under leveled BUT it's impossible when the Otaku GK simply stops a Hissatsu with his bare hands or Endou ( Raimon ) is unable to stop a shot inspite of its power being decreased thanks to a block.

When all said is done, I had a blast with this game and I'm looking forward to the future. I'm slightly worried about the Tag Ladder Matches, cause it might just be following the same path as DBZ Dokkan Battle, and I'm hoping there's more good/decent free units in future events and connection map chapters.

What about you all? What were your experiences and opinions on this game? How are your current teams? Is there any sleeper player/unit that I missed?
