Sudden onset dissociation after being sick.
24F, 5’2” maybe 110 pounds, I vape. Not on any medications.
I was sick for 5 days last week. It felt like a bad cold. I felt fine for two days and then on Wednesday morning I threw up stomach bile 5 times back to back. I got sent home from work and my entire body was aching so bad that I slept the entire day away to not feel the pain. I kept having hot and cold flashes. At this time I didn’t feel like I had a cold anymore but something else. I didn’t even eat the whole day.
Thursday morning I felt better after a shower. However, yesterday morning I felt super dizzy and lightheaded, very out of body. This is still onset.
I googled it and it said it was an anxiety attack. I have a history of anxiety but it doesn’t feel like one. I thought after I drank lots of water and slept that I would feel better but I don’t. I managed to drive to work and I can’t take off this weekend bc I’m the only manager on duty.
I had an episode like this back in 2021 and the urgent care sent me to the hospital in an ambulance just for an IV of water and I got put into medical debt bc of it. They said bc of my history of mental illness it was just an anxiety attack.
I don’t understand that because why would an anxiety attack persist with zero triggers and a full night of sleep? Will it do any good to go to the urgent care?
