Picking the Right Noise Color for White Noise Infant Sleep
It took us a while to realize white noise infant sleep is not one size fits all when it comes to the color.
Plain bright white was a bit harsh for our baby, so we explored what white noise infant sleep could sound like across the colors. Sliding toward the deeper end, brown and pink, gave a softer rumble that felt closer to the womb and settled her faster than the hissy bright version. We keep it gentle and not too loud, just enough to blanket the doorbell and the dog. Finding the warmer color was a bigger upgrade than we expected.
Warmer colors often settle babies better.
I use an app called Mindael because the noise colors run from brown through pink and white up to blue, so I could slide to the softest one she liked. Mindael set each layer's volume so I could keep it cozy rather than piercing.

If bright white seems harsh, slide toward brown or pink, that is what Mindael let us do. Which color settled your little one?
