You can just lie to people on the internet 🫠

Sometimes I see my ex wBPD reply to threads where they just completely lie about situations — the first time it happened I remember being really angry because they would constantly call me delusional whenever I correctly identified their patterns of behaviour.

Now, I see how tragic, sad and ultimately pathetic being 40 and carefully curating fake personas to strangers and friends is.

I don't even feel the need to 'understand' why they would do this anymore, and I'm glad I managed to leave with the amount of trauma and harm I received compared to what would have happened if I had stayed.

I guess this is part of processing an abusive relationship, finally reinhabiting my reality which is grounded in observable behaviour and events rather than one dictated by another persons dysregulation and need for control.
