Childhood Experience

As a 5 year old child, I distinctly remember sitting down while looking at my hand. And as I looked at my hand, I noticed all the ripples and canyons which imprinted on my palm and fingertipsml. At the same time, I remember telling myself, "I am <name>" over and over again. And after each time I repeated my name, I could feel my lesser self giving way to my greater self. In another way, my sense of physical reality, as I understood it, faded deeper and deeper away as it was replaced with this greater awareness, as if I am <name>, but the (thing) aware of <name> isn't/wasn't limited to <name>.

Has anyone else experienced this? And is it useful?
