Am I a bother and he's not into me that much?

We had chemistry between us from the beginning. It felt like we've been friends for a long time. I felt so comfortable physically and emotionally next to him. We have many common interests and values.

He's touched and flirted a lot, made compliments etc but I though that's just his style of communication.

Once I invited him for a walk. He accepted, but then suggest another date and wrote smt about our friend group. I though that was a hint that he isn't pursuing anything w me. Though he continued to interact with me as usual.

Then he started to act more obvious. He chose to stay with me when everyone was left, he jokes about us as a couple, he hugged me tightly when there wasn't any obligation, he looks at me and mentions me a lot, he texted me and tried to extend the convo.

And omfg we were so obvious that we did... NOTHING. Like literally. We keep interact as usual irl, but I stuck in ambiguity again. I try to text him and he doesn't seem to elaborate the convo. He's so inconsistent and I'm very cautious.

Idk what is going on in his head. If he is unsure/not pursuing me then why he tried to get closer to me like every time we meet. What if he's waiting for more intentions from my side. Cause honestly his actions are much more expressive and obvious than mine irl. But DUdE i texted YOU so what's the problem??!!?

I'm so afraid to show him more, and I don’t even dare to ask him out. I tried that one time and ofc we didn’t get closure and ended up postponing it. We still haven’t brought up this topic again, and I’m basically afraid to ask about it again.
