Breakup or situationship mixed signals vent and advice plz

I’m [35F]and the other is [38M]. One night I decided to end whatever it was and like he never cared. But I reached out back in a week because I had a mutual friend that said he never wanted to leave but was giving me space.

So I talked to him in person and he was like pushing away when I tried to kiss him twice and like the third one was a regular one like he was playing hard to get

And he was like giving mixed signals like when I asked what would you like for us to do? We have a conversation at lunch the next day and I asked what are we he said wait til tomorrow

The next day comes and he doesn’t talk about the relationship but like literally you could tell he was jealous, because I was dressed up and wanted to know where I was going who I was with and like he wanted to hang with me more but I got plans. And when he dropped me home in the way on the drive he kept trying to look over my phone to see what I was doing. Like I was playing pokemon go lol and I was like what are you doing ? And he has a Tesla so of course hands free driving so yeah he kept looking putting his chair far back. And what’s weird he was the complete opposite the day before he was like not interested in me yesterday, but the next day he wants to walk with me to my front door and like with his puppy eyes want a hug or kiss but I was the one to like give a hug because he tried to go walk in my house. I used to let him in but not anymore

He said the other day he doesn’t want to jump right into dating again but then he does the complete opposite so confusing. Also like he could’ve dropped the kiss.and he was trying to explain where he goes whose he with the when we weren’t talking for a week. He expected to tell him what I was doing. Men are so weird i swear. He can’t make his mind up. Mixed signals and I asked relationship or none at all I’m ok with friends and he couldn’t even answer like he’s afraid of losing me overall because I could see the jealousy the next day. He hurt me the day before because he was rejecting me in a way. Now today he doesn’t text me as always. He told me see you at work but nothing. I can see he’s online. Like it’s feels back and forth omg. Any advice? I’m thinking of just letting go it’s annoying to chase. Some side notes hes divorced and always complained about his ex wife and his ex gf from 3 years ago that he can’t even kick out of his house. And on top of that he has a friend that hates me for no reason edging him and his decisions but it’s frustrating
