I keep smelling something horrible and nobody else can smell it

I feel kinda crazy as they say it’s my imagination but if it was my imagination it wouldn’t be at this one spot right?

So in the basement of my dad’s house, there is a storage room. Supposed to be a spare room but we just filled it with stuff. The basement isn’t like a redone or like cement floor basement as I had ones like that. It’s like a normal floor, carpet, extra living room with couch right next to the room, all normal. So I can’t say anything with that even if I live in the country. Also have been living in this house for 5 years and haven’t been like this.

Lately going to the room to pack boxes as going to second year so I can easily move them when I leave after summer, and been also selling stuff which keep it in there so it’s not overcrowding. But past few days, it smells so bad like absolutely horrible. To me it smells like rotting wet spaghetti.

The thing is I had my stepmom, my dad, and the neighbor kids who my stepmom reads to, all smell it. They all smell nothing.

And it’s so strange, as it’s so overpowering that I sometimes gag and have to stop packing lately because of it.

If it was like a sensory hallucination it wouldn’t be specific to that room right? Because it’s only there, at the entrance and I went through boxes after boxes to see if any rotting food and nothing. And it’s strange but smelling the boxes itself and the overpowering smell dims a bit so it shows it’s nothing in them.

I have always said I have bad sense of smell so also weird I can only smell it. And my family and all smell everything else perfectly fine. Stepmom and dad just got on my case for me not doing the cat litter for one day which I don’t smell much of anything but they can. Even leaving the door open or sitting to see if it fades, nothing. So why is it my poor nose who can’t smell basic stuff is so overwhelming at this one smell?

The only thing I can think of, which is dumb excuse, is like some spiritual thing as I’m the only one who practice and inlined with crystals, herbs, intuitive, etc. And my logic professor thinks I have synesthesia because I can see both sides of visual illusions easily. Like the black and blue, and white and gold dress, I can see both sides whenever I just want to see one which thought was the norm. Same with like the shoe illusion, the ballerina spinning directions, hearing tests, just always been like that. But I don’t think it’s synesthesia as thought that was like tasting colors and stuff but I guess it’s different sorts of ESP. But still this is a dumb excuse.

Need like ideas or advice on why this could be happening or if sign of something else because it smells horrible like rotting spaghetti, very specific rotting smell.
