Did she just breadcrumb me??

So there’s this girl I was formerly fwbs with, and um she had me blocked for some time until i apologized to her over something i said to her that made her mad. After some time, she unblocks me on social media, I follow her and we start to talk again but keeps it brief and cold, she then later ghosts me basically. 3 weeks later, at 2am she responds to me out of nowhere explaining why she unblocked me which was the last text I sent. She explains to me that my apology basically resonated with her and that she believed me that I was being genuine with my intentions. So we start talking again, she even follows me back and all and eventually I ask her out and this is when her bf DMs to tell me to leave her tf alone and that she doesn’t want anything to do with me and that she has told me more than once. Which is a complete contradiction. Mind you she didn’t mention she had a man, she only mentioned she had been talking to someone months ago when we last spoke in person. And that someone happened to be him and it was long distance but I had assumed they didn’t talk anymore because of what she told me?! What possessed her to do this?
