I got a 250 dollar traffic ticket and it’s all my fault.

I (23f) feel consumed by guilt as I look at this traffic ticket so I figured speaking to the void might help.

I had been driving home from a doctors appointment in an area I don’t normally drive. The main difference being that their roads are much larger. Where I am is more of a city with two way streets that make you pull over to let the other car pass

So, when a school bus pulled over, I assumed they were being oddly kind and letting me go. I did not see that they in fact had pushed out the small stop sign to the side. As I passed and waved a thank you, the driver honked endlessly at me.

When I realized what really happened I felt so guilty. I always try to pride myself on safe and good driving. Especially regarding areas with kids! So, I will pay the 250 dollars with my head hung in shame :,)
