Good afternoon everyone. Non-driver here. 

I need to take my cat to the vet on July 8th to have a tooth removed. He’s only been with me since January, I adopted him from the Surrey Animal Rescue Centre, he was a stray roaming the mean streets of Cloverdale for a few years as I’m told. 

Yes he’s a Manx! (Rumpy riser). 

In the past, I’ve used Uber to transport my guy to the Richmond Animal Protection Society, but one way costs $40. Normally I just suck it up and factor it into the cost of having an animal.

I was just laid off for about a month—during World Cup, my employer is a hotel… Not the point of the thread, I’m in just as much disbelief…

Anyway, I’ve already paid the deposit to have his tooth removed and it needs to come out regardless, leaving it in is not an option. 

So I’m looking for advice on how to effectively transport him with minimal stress for him (it would take an hour and a half which is a long time to be in the carrier. Also he’s super vocal which I’m hesitant to bring him on transit, as I’m also kind of anti-social, I’d rather not have multiple discussions about him), but at the same time this is looking like the most affordable option as I have to leave him there for the duration of the day, I can’t justify $160 for transport for the day (there and back 2x).

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions/recommendations? 

Need suggestions/help with getting to the vet.
