Minor collision. Need help/opinions.

While I was parking my car at the parking lot of the store, I heard stones cracking. Parked my car and went to the store and when I got back I saw scratches on the other car that was beside mine and immediately checked my front bumper but there wasn’t anything on my bumper so I thought maybe the scratch was on the other car from before. I waited sometime in the parking lot but no one came and I had to leave but immediately turned back around within a minute because I thought it would be for the best to click pictures just in case but by the time I got back, the car was gone. I reported the incident immediately at the collision centre customer service once I got home but the woman on the other end said she can’t file the report as I’m not sure of the make and model of the other car. I filed an online report at the collision centre website within 2 hours of the incident. I don’t want a hit and run charge as I’m on my visa and it’ll ruin my file. Should I be worried? Is there anything else I can do?
