Seizure cycle

Hi everyone,

I have a question for you. 1st some quick background. I have a 90lb Great Dane mix. She is 8yrd old. She was diagnosed with epilepsy 2 yrs ago. She has slowly maxed out on her keppra prescription and we also have her on Sodium Bromide.

She has a grand mal seizure about every 10-15 days. After we clean her up she takes a 3 hour nap (or so). Then she is a puppy again. (Or at least acts her age) then slowly as the days pass she get more tired. Her rear hips, sort of, become weaker. Her eyes get red, her nose dries up, and she is gennerally more dopey. Then she has another seizure and the cycle starts all over again.

Here the question: does anyone else experience the same symptoms in their dog? If so, do you have any advice or knowledge for me. We love her and I am not planning on putting her down anytime soon. Thank in advance.
