Flew down to the beach in the morning to look for some turtles. Saw an unidentified large creature moving through the bushes, but thought nothing of it. Eventually found a dead turtle, ate a bit, went to get gastros, came back and this trike was there. He friendly-called and I gave him a few back, but I've been playing the Isle long enough to know better than to get too close.

I flew onto a nearby rock and waited until he moved far enough away, then flew down to get a few more pieces. Rinse and repeat. We exchange calls back and forth, I do some trick-flying over him, we have a little dance-off. Nice vibes. He rests and I even go down and start sniffing on him (an old realism server thing I used to do to simulate birds/small animals pecking insects off of larger ones).

He's standing awkwardly close to the turtle, so I run in, grab a piece, run back out. No movement. I try again one more time, and he tries to trash me. Missing spectacularly.

Then the harrassment doesn't stop. Non-stop screaming, flying in circles, taunting. He even tries climbing up the rock I was perched on but falls off and breaks his leg. While doing some circle-screaming over him I notice a small croc in the ocean and it all makes sense.

Sure, he could've just turned his volume down, but I like to think that added an extra layer of anxiety not knowing whether or not a rex would burst out of the bushes any minute.

Ptera might not be able to peck and damage big guys anymore, but you can still make their existence an auditory nightmare. No rest for the mixpacker.

Trike acted friendly with me for a long time then suddenly tried to kill me, so I followed him around screaming like this for a full fifteen minutes
