[Event] A Covenant to Make the Gods Weep

Event

The Island of Dragonstone was held by an icy atmosphere. One that could be felt from the keep, all the way down to the main port, and the villages around. Something had happened, something vicious and ill spoken, that left a chill not only in the court, but spread out like the feeling before a storm. Not many words accompanied emotion, besides few mentions of the King's newly attained temper, and cold demeanour, only broken by quiet times with his daughter, which were all too few.

Upon arriving, Caradoc and Myranda would find a small host of armed men awaiting them, led by a middle yeared knight. "I am Ser Jael. The King awaits you." He did not however take them to the keep itself. Instead, he wound through the walls, and down into caverns and chambers within the mountain itself. The knight had not demanded Caradoc to relinquish his arms, nor spoken much beyond those initial words.

Brought through a hallway carved from the stone itself, guarded by ten men, in two men intervals, they would step through, the guard waiting behind, as Jael alone would lead the pair into the chambers. The King, and his Lord Commander, stood over a body, embalmed, but not seemingly ready to be buried.

The King, wore his crown and sword that marked him for his station, and the Lord Commander stood quietly, unnerved by most of the proceedings, but his oaths holding him in place.

"I need this man's life returned." He replied plainly. "I know of your conversation with Lord Howland and Lord Hubert." Jaehaerys began. "Yet I know something they never did. The extent of Visenya's... gift." Jaehaerys began. In truth, he had never known it for sure, and Viserys had known more, but hardly most of it. "You will not have to fear anyone for your actions today, for if you do so, I will ensure you are safe from anyone in the Seven Kingdoms." Jaehaerys began.

Turning to Caradoc. "Your grandfather is a house guest of mine. You say the word, and he is freed, or done with as you please. Starpike will be yours, and nobody will contest your claims to your family's lands. By my order, you and your wife shall have the lands you are supposed to inherit."
