schooling questions 🤍

hi everyone! i’m hoping this community might have some recommendations because i have kind of an unconventional background.

i have a bachelor’s degree in public health with a minor in homeland security and disaster management. i also completed all of the prerequisites for nursing school, including anatomy and physiology, biology, microbiology, nutrition, chemistry, and the rest of the typical science courses because i originally planned to become an infection prevention nurse. after covid, i ended up changing directions, went to law school, and i’m now a practicing attorney.

i have pcos and have become really interested in functional medicine and functional nutrition, both for my own health and because i genuinely enjoy learning about the science behind it. i’d love to pursue more formal education and potentially earn another degree.

does anyone know of any reputable online master’s programs in functional nutrition or functional medicine? i’d really like something that is evidence based and academically rigorous, not just a weekend certification.

i’m also open to other options if a master’s isn’t necessarily the best path. i’d consider self study, certificate programs, another bachelor’s, or even a doctorate if there are programs that are actually respected in the field.

for those of you who have gone back to school for this, what route did you take, and would you recommend it? are there any programs that stand out or any that i should avoid?

thanks in advance. i’d really appreciate any advice!
