Special Edition Fairies
I always liked these types of books but I still prefer the main series fairies, just because I like the idea of a fairy group who each share a common interest. Though the special edition books are good for variety and I do have some favorites.
Juliet the Valentine's fairy- I love Valentine's Day and I love Juliet, this book is interesting because the tensions in this series never felt higher with Rachel and Kirsty having their first few big fights. This was the most they've ever felt like natural best friends their age. I also love Juliet being their mediator.
Brianna the tooth fairy- The tooth fairy lore is very interesting but I mostly love this book for it's second story where a goblin snuck into the house at night while the girls were asleep, tried to take the tooth Kirsty had under her pillow, kidnapped Brianna the next day, and stole a kid's scooter which I thought was pretty funny. It's fun to see a goblin outwit Rachel and Kirsty for once. The goblins are usually dumb and gullible so it was fun to have an actually smart and competent one for a change. He would've gotten away with everything if Rachel's dog Buttons didn't stop him, saving Brianna and getting her object back.
Blossom the flower girl fairy- I really just got invested in Rachel, Kirsty, and Rachel's aunt Angela planning the biggest wedding of the year. I eat that type of plotline up, it was never really clear why this wedding was so important because the bride and groom weren't specified to be really important people or anything but I still enjoyed it. I also love the chaos of Rachel and Kirsty having to watch these unruly flower girls who are acting up because Blossom doesn't have her items.
