Sara Hess and Condal are not particularly biased against Daemon
I think this episode (3x2) was written by Sara Hess, and she had Daemon MVP, cooler and more protective of Rhaenyra than we ever saw him before. He soloed this episode.
The biggest Daemon haters in the show, Otto and Jasper, died in a humiliating way and portrayed as misogynists, traitors, and rapists.
They through and through portray him better than Aemond (and he is by a mile, even in the book), who nearly wiped out Harrenhal and died in the process, breaking his aura, compared to the former who, when he took it, not a single person died.
Even in today's episode he didn't harm a single innocent, and when the Kings Guards surrendered he didn't kill them, in contrast to Aemond.
This kind of proves that Sara and Condal are not particularly biased against him, even if they spoke against him in interviews.
While they did add to him several crimes he didn't do in the book, the show is biased against men in general, but not against a particular male character.
