Nail advice for someone who can no longer do UV gel fill ins

Hi! I’ve been getting my Nails done religiously for 8 years- UV gel fill in. Other than standard gel UV fill in, what other options are there for maintaining long nails - whether the length is natural or with tips?

Can they do extensions with gel powder?
Are acrylic nails still a thing?
