Is anyone else upset and irritated by the lack of communication?
Last week I had a video chat interview and apparently they liked me pretty well enough because not too long after that, I got an email requesting an in person interview. They was even open to having it the next day. To which I did. The next day came and that also went great, in my opinion. They told me that they had one more in person interview to do the next day and I should hear back by Friday for sure. Well, I waited and gave them until late afternoon Friday. Still no word. I then email the hiring manager about it and she said she didn’t have an answer yet because she was still deciding. She then said that she would reach out on Monday. Well, it’s Monday and still no word!
I did email again requesting an update. Whether you think I should or shouldn’t have done that is pretty much mute at this point. To me, that shows you really want the job, but aren’t trying to bombard someone.
I’m very upset with the lack of communication and respect that these companies have. I really want the job, would love to do it because it would eventually further in our in my career path, but at the same time, the lack thereof of communication is showing me a completely different side right now.
I understand life is busy and so are businesses, but that doesn’t mean you can’t take five seconds or so and let someone have an answer, especially since you gave them a specific time frame to when they will be hearing back from you. It’s definitely unprofessional.
Anyone else at this point?
