Is the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs the new team that Italian-Australians in Sydney support?

Having attended St Pat’s in Strathfield, which has a massive Italian-Australian demographic in school, I noticed the majority of them supported the Bulldogs, even if they didn't live in the Canterbury-Bankstown Area.

It made me wonder why, because from what I’ve gathered, the older Boomer generation of Italian-Australians historically supported the Wests Tigers (or Balmain/Wests back in the day) due to the Inner West geographic ties. Is there a generational shift happening where younger Italian-Australians are gravitating toward the Dogs?
