CPU cores Gamehub do they matter that much?
Hi everyone. I recently started exploring Android emulators and downloaded GameHub. I downloaded three games first (Mafia 2, Dark Souls 3, and Assassin's Creed 3) and struggled with the settings for a long time; the games would run at 60 FPS, but after 10 minutes of play, my phone (Samsung S26 Ultra with Snapdragon 8 Gen 5) would heat up like an oven, and the frame rate would drop to 10 FPS. Even locking the frame rate to 30 FPS didn't solve the issue (I play without a cooling fan). I searched online for a solution for a long time and, as a last resort, asked Gemini what to do; it suggested adjusting the cores in GameHub. The idea was that disabling a couple of cores might improve performance without increasing heat. I spent about an hour experimenting with different settings. By keeping the first four cores enabled and disabling the rest, the frame rate stabilized—staying around 45–50 FPS even in the most demanding areas—and the heat dropped, so I didn't notice any sudden frame rate drops. I’d like to know if this works for anyone else. Apologies in advance for any errors; my English isn't very good, so I'm using a translator.
