What should I do if I regret casting a manipulative spell and getting involved with negative magic? (Not asking for a spell, I'm looking for the Wiccan perspective.)
Hi everyone,
I've always been the kind of practitioner who didn't pay much attention to ideas like karma or the Threefold Law. I honestly thought they were just New Age beliefs and never took them seriously.
A while ago, I cast a love obsession spell on my ex. Ironically, that experience is what finally made me realize the importance of magical responsibility.
He did come back, and for the first few days everything seemed perfect. But soon after, he became toxic and started physically abusing me.
That made me realize that manipulative magic doesn't create genuine love. It may influence someone's behavior, but it can't create real feelings or a healthy relationship. If what you truly want is sincere, mutual love, then this kind of magic seems completely counterproductive.
I've also been dealing with what feel like negative consequences myself. I've been struggling with low self-esteem, emotional dependency, and obsessive thoughts about him. Whether that's the Threefold Law, psychological consequences, or something else, I don't know, but it's made me seriously reflect on my actions.
From a Wiccan perspective, what should I do now?
How can I take responsibility for what I've done, make amends, and move forward in a way that aligns with Wiccan ethics?
