[TOMT] country song maybe early 00s

This has been driving me crazy.

I’m looking for a song that I’m pretty sure is by a male country singer, maybe from the 2000s, though I could be wrong.

I don’t remember the melody, but I remember the story being about a relationship falling apart. The biggest lyric stuck in my head or something very similar is: “she doesn’t want to leave, she just wants him to try again.”

It’s a “tell her before it’s too late” kind of feel.

The wording is probably slightly off, but the idea is that she isn’t leaving because she stopped loving him, she just wanted him to make an effort.

I’ve searched every variation of the lyrics I can think of and can’t find the song. Does this sound familiar to anyone else?

And it’s not Is There Life Out There? by Reba. Although I’m pretty sure it’s pretty close to this just sang by a man and a man’s POV. Help! It’s driving me crazy!
